Troubleshooting and platform limits

An approved post didn't publish (overdue or held)

If a post is approved after its scheduled time, Kredia holds it instead of publishing late. Publish it now or reschedule it.

Symptom

You approved a post, but it never went out. In Scheduling the post is red and marked Overdue, or its details say "Approved after its scheduled time. The post is held until someone publishes it or reschedules it."

Why it happens

Kredia never publishes a post late on its own. If the last required approval arrives after the scheduled time, the post is held instead of going out at a time nobody chose.

It can also be that the post doesn't have all its approvals yet. Some clients need two or three approvals, and the author's own approval never counts. The post's details show how many it has, for example Overdue · 1 of 2.

How to fix

  1. Open the post: click it in Scheduling, or find it in Approvals.
  2. Check the status. If approvals are still missing, ask the remaining approvers to approve it.
  3. When it's approved, publish it:
    • Click Post Now (the paper-plane icon in the Day view) to publish it right away, or
    • Edit the post and pick a new date and time.

If the client asks for approval again after edits, changing the time resets the approvals and the post waits for approval again. When the content is final, Post Now is usually the quicker way.

To avoid it next time:

  • Approve posts well before their scheduled time. Overdue posts are marked red in the calendar and in Approvals.
  • If the client allows it, authors can choose As soon as approved under Publish timing in the composer. The post then goes out the moment the last approval lands. An Owner or Admin turns this on with Let the author choose "publish as soon as approved" on the client's Team & approvals tab.
