How to connect your accounts as a client

For clients of a Kredia agency. Connect your own Instagram, Facebook or TikTok account so your agency can publish for you, without sharing your password.

This page is for you if a social media agency manages your accounts with Kredia. To let your agency publish for you, you connect your Instagram, Facebook or TikTok account once. You sign in on the network's own page, so your agency and Kredia never see your password.

Before you start

  • You can sign in to the account on Instagram, Facebook or TikTok.
  • Instagram: it must be a Business or Creator account. A personal account can be switched for free in the Instagram app's settings.
  • Facebook: you must be an admin of the Facebook Page.
  • Only Instagram, Facebook and TikTok can be connected this way. For other networks, your agency connects them with you, for example on a call.
  1. Open the email from your agency with the connection link. The link is valid for 7 days.
  2. Click the link. You're sent to the network's official sign-in page.
  3. Sign in to your account and allow the permissions Kredia asks for. On Facebook, choose the Page your agency manages.
  4. Wait for Connection complete. Your agency sees the account straight away.
  5. Optional: click Sign in to the customer portal to see your connected accounts.

Connect from the client portal

  1. Sign in to the portal. See How clients sign in to the portal.
  2. Under Your accounts, find Instagram, Facebook or TikTok.
  3. Click Connect and sign in on the network's page.
  4. When you finish, the account shows as connected in the list.

What can go wrong

  • "The link is invalid or has expired" or "Connection failed". The link is older than 7 days, or was sent for a network that doesn't support links. Ask your agency to send a new one. See A client's connect invite link doesn't work.
  • Nothing opens when you click Connect in the portal. Your browser may have blocked the popup. Allow popups for kredia.io and try again.
  • A personal Instagram account won't connect. Switch it to a Business or Creator account first.
  • Your TikTok posts are private. Until Kredia's TikTok app passes TikTok's review, posts go out as "Only me". Your agency can explain the next step. See TikTok posts are published as private.
