Roles and permissions

Everyone on an agency's team has exactly one role in that agency: Owner, Admin, Editor or Viewer. If you belong to several agencies, you can have a different role in each. Clients aren't team members: they use the separate client portal.

The Owner's own row on the Team page can't be changed, and nobody can change their own role there.

Who approves posts#

Approval rules are set per client, by the Owner or an Admin, in the client's Team & approvals tab.

• By default a post needs one approval from any Admin or the Owner. Posts written by the Owner or an Admin go out without waiting, so in practice it's Editors' posts that wait.
• With a named team, the people marked Approver for that client approve, and the client decides how many approvals a post needs (0 to 3).
• Authors never approve their own posts.
• The Owner can always publish without waiting. Admins can too, unless that's turned off for the client.

Clients#

A client signs in to the client portal with a one-time code sent to their email. Today the portal is view-only: the client sees which accounts are connected and can connect Instagram, Facebook or TikTok. Clients can't approve posts yet.
