# How to repost an existing post

Repost creates a new post from an existing one: same client, platform, post type, caption, hashtags, media and Instagram collaborators. Use it to publish a successful post again or to re-run a seasonal post. The original post isn't changed.

## Before you start

- **Find the post in Scheduling.** Repost is in the calendar's **Day** view.
- **You're an Editor, Admin or Owner.**

## Repost

1. Open **Scheduling** and switch to the **Day** view on the day of the original post.
2. On the post, click the **Repost** icon (two arrows in a loop).
3. The **Repost** window shows the **Original Post:** text. Under **New Schedule Date & Time**, pick a new date and time, or use **Quick Schedule:** (**1 Hour**, **3 Hours**, **1 Day**, **1 Week** from now).
4. To publish immediately instead, switch on **Post now**.
5. Click **Schedule Repost** (or **Post Now**).

The copy appears on the calendar as a new post.

## Good to know

- **The copy is a new post.** It goes through the client's approval rules again, as any new post would.
- **You can't change the caption in the Repost window.** To change it, open the new post afterwards and click the edit icon while it's scheduled.
- **The copy goes to the same platform** as the original. To publish the same content elsewhere, create a new post with several platforms.
- **The new time must be in the future**, otherwise you see "Scheduled time must be in the future".
